Hi! My name is Lindsay Welbers and I am the voice behind Third Coast Hikes. I am also the author of “Chicago Transit Hikes: A guide to getting out in nature without a car,” which is currently available through the University of Illinois Press.
Most frequently, I can be fund on the NW side of Chicago, hiking in Ted Woods, backpacking around the Great Lakes, and walking my dog. Whenever possible, I try to ride my bike or take public transit.
